Mosaic Meal 2014

Students and staff of GFK are beginning its efforts in planning this year’s Mosaic Meal for Monday, December 22nd, 2014. Below you will find a list of responsibilities for both parents and students to make this event another success for our school.

Students Responsibilities:

1.   As of Monday, December 1st, students can start bringing in non-perishable food bank items to GFK School. The class that has the highest average per capita will eat first on the Mosaic Day. Food bank items will be collected from Monday, December 1st to Wednesday, December 17th.
2.   Bring all non-perishable food items to the front entrance where they will be counted by an SLC member and Mr. Johnson.
3.   Make sure your parents/legal guardians know what food category they are responsible for cooking (or buying) for that day.

Parents Responsibilities:

1.   Please pass on to your son or daughter as many non-perishable food bank items as possible. The staff will be taking these items to the Food Bank at the end of Mosaic Meal Day. Do remember, it is towards a great cause. (Goal this year – 7000 items)
2.   Cook (or buy) enough food for 5-6 people according to the categories below. We know the math doesn’t work, but we always have had enough food for everyone based on these numbers.
3.   Bring your food to school on Monday, December 22nd between 11:30am and 11:50am. Warming up or cooking will NOT happen at the school. Therefore, all food items should be brought to school ready to serve. The meal starts at 12:00pm sharp. Please bring all items to the front entrance as individuals have been assigned to take them to the appropriate classes.

Group Designation / Teacher / Food Category
